The Executive-in-Residence program provides executive mentoring and management advice for early stage faculty start-up companies. 

The program matches successful, serial entrepreneurs with selected faculty inventors for individual coaching sessions with the long-term goal of helping the fledgling start-up companies grow and gain viability.

Ken Andrews

Ken Andrews has general management, business development, marketing, sales, and clinical development experience across a broad range of healthcare specialties, including tissue regeneration. He has served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales of the Tissue Repair Division of Genzyme Corporation, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Alteon Pharmaceuticals, Vice President of U.S. Operations for Seikagaku Corporation, and helped lead the creation of both the sales and marketing organizations at Genentech, Inc. and Centocor, Inc. Mr. Andrews graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BA degree in Business Administration.

Todd Creech

Todd Creech linkedinTodd has experience with financing, legal, accounting, and corporate development activities. He has gained many years of experience consulting with members of the biotech and high-tech industries through his previous positions as CFO of ZS Pharma, CFO of Sirion Therapeutics, and was previously employed at NovaQuest, SRI International, and Anderson Consulting. He holds bachelor's degrees in finance and accounting from Miami University in Ohio and an MBA from Duke University in North Carolina.

Dalton Einhorn

Dalton brings nearly twenty years of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical and private equity industries. He currently serves as CEO and Founder of EpiNova Therapeutics and his previous employment includes Venture Capital Investor of Latterell Venture Partners, Director of Business Development and new product planning for the US subsidiary of Novo Nordisk, experience in global marketing leadership roles at Daiichi Sankyo, and experience in product management for Roche where he was responsible for marketing cardiovascular and anti-infective products. Dalton holds an MBA from Yale University and received a BA in political science from Drew University.linkedin

 

Ron Frazier

Ron FrazierlinkedinRon currently serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Moffitt Cancer Research Center and Florida State University. Over the course of 20 years, he has served as Executive Vice President for three different billion-dollar, global technology consulting companies. Ron has an MBA from the University of Missouri and is a Fellow at the Wharton School of Business.

 

Scott Hampton

Scott HamptonlinkedinScott has directed medical product engineering and commercialization for over a decade; he has started companies in both medical device and pharmaceuticals and holds several patents. For the last seven years, Scott’s work has focused on early-phase innovation: structuring companies, negotiating technology licensing agreements, raising capital, and building management teams. Scott received a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a Master’s degree in International Manufacturing Management from the University of California, San Diego.

 

 

Andreas Muehler

After a short period of clinical work, Andreas initially worked for more than a decade within the pharmaceutical industry, where held leadership positions in preclinical and clinical development, licensing and business development and marketing. Over the last 12 years, Andreas has teamed up with Founders, for which he has developed and managed multiple start-up medical device companies and medical technology companies in the United States. Andreas holds an M.D. from Humboldt-University in Berlin, Germany and an M.B.A. from Duke University.linkedin

Chuck Papageorgiou

Chuck PapageorgioulinkedinChuck has experience with global organizations undergoing major business transformations, companies launching new products and expanding into international markets, financial services and venture capital firms evaluating investments and M&A transactions, and early stage firms developing business plans and raising investment capital. In his corporate career, Chuck has managed organizations ranging from 5 person startups to international operations with over 1,000 employees. Chuck earned a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, and a variety of professional certifications from organizations such as the American Management Association, City and Guilds of London Institute, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and others.

Paul Phillips

Paul has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. During his career, Paul has also spent time in public accounting with Price Waterhouse, investment banking with Raymond James and Associates, and with Fifth Third Bank's healthcare banking group. Paul holds Bachelor’s in Journalism and Accounting as well as a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.linkedin

Charlie Raffin

Charlie RaffinCharlie Raffin brings strong marketing, sales, and business development expertise in biopharmaceuticals, clinical diagnostics and medical devices.  He is broadly experienced from a nearly 30 year career in the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.  He has launched numerous products and new use indications.  Since 2010, Charlie has been a management consultant involved with many facets of new medical products.  He serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research.  Charlie holds a BS in Medical Technology from Wayne State University and MBA from The University of Michigan.

Pablo Santa Cruz

Pablo was born in Ecuador in 1964 and moved to the United States in 1980 where he received his education in Information Systems and Business Management.

John Sauickie

John Sauickie has over 25 years of asset management experience.  John is currently the Principal Officer at Preservation Capital Group LLC where John manages funds for Institutional and High Net Worth clients.  In the last 5 years, John was the Founder and CEO of Titanium Asset Management.  He guided the firm through a $120 million offering on the London Stock Exchange.  John has also been involved in the funding of over $300 million for start-up companies.  His management expertise in managing early development stage companies has led to three companies going public, and several others being acquired.  John received his BA in 1987 from William Paterson University.
